How to make bentonite cat litter? Here we'd like to share some of our experiences,

A complete process for making bentonite cat litter should include the following steps:

1. Mixing Process

All powder materials need to be mixed according to a certain formula ratio. For the selection of mixers, we have three types, twin-shaft paddle mixer, single-shaft paddle mixer and ribbon mixer. According to the output capacity and customer requirements, we will choose the appropriate mixer.

2. Granulation / Pelleting Process

The mixed materials are transported to the disc granulator  to make round granules with different diameters. The forming rate is as high as 98%.

3. Sifting Process

The powder is screened out by the vibrating screener or rotary screener, and the granules that reaches the standard enters the next process, and the powder can continue to be granulated.

4. Drying Process

After granulation, the moisture content of cat litter reaches about 30%, which needs to be dried by microwave dryer, and the moisture content of the final cat litter is controlled at about 6-8%.

5. Cooling& Sifting and Packing Process

The temperature of the dried cat litter is about 30℃, and it needs to be cooled and screened, and finally vacuum packed.
