Pellet Mill Ring Die Crack Solutions

Besides ring die's bad quality, improper usage and operation will easily lead ring dies to crack, this will influence normal production, now we analyze the reasons and solutions of ring die cracking.

1. When there are bright spots on the working surface of the ring die holder and wear marks on the working surface of the driving wheel, it means ring die holders inner part has been worn or deformed, causing the ring die to crack.

Solution: Replace ring die holders asap.

 

2. Due to the wear of the matching surface of transmission wheel, the matching surface of ring die and roller is obviously loose, it leads to ring die crack.

Solution: The drive wheel must be replaced or repaired in time, or the dimensional tolerance of the ring die assembly surface must be increased.

 

3. The ring die is cracked due to the abrasion and deformation of ring die gasket.  

Solution: Check and replace ring die gasket.

 

4. Ring die cracks due to the wear of driving key.

Solution: It is also related to the looseness of the transmission wheel. Regularly measure the gap between the key and the keyway, and replace the driving key in time.

 

5. Due to main shaft bearing broken, main shaft shakes and leads to ring die cracking.

Solution: Change the main shaft bearing asap.

 

6. S spring is loose, which leads to main shaft shaking and then ring die crack.

Solution: Add or change S spring.

 

7. Ring die cracking due to heavy load caused by unsuitable safety pins and safety pin seat.

Solution: Use the safety pin supplied by our company.

 

8. Due to iron remover with poor effect, the working surface of ring die is indented by a metal object, which causes ring die to crack.

Solution: Check and clean iron etc. metal.

 

9. Because roller assembly is not assembled well, roller and ring die axial direction working area removing and lead to ring die crack.

Solution:  Assemble roller assembly well.

 

10. The gap of ring die and roller is too small, ring die and roller connect too hard.

Solution: The reasonable gap should be 0.1mm-0.3mm, and new ring die should be equipped with new rollers.

 

11. Because fiber materials are increased a lot, and not install feeding scrapers, ring die cracks.

Solution: Assembly new feed scraper.

 

12. When ring die is not used for a long time, the particles in the pellet die becomes hard, and no “washing ring dies”. So it’s difficult to discharge the materials next time using, and the pressing force is too big, it leads to the cracking of ring die.

Solution: Fill up no corrosive oil materials.

 

13. Due to the direct hammering of the ring die with a hard steel tool (such as a hammer) for assembling and disassembling the ring die.

If the ring die must be installed with force, a wooden hammer should be used.

Solution: Use wood hammer instead if necessary.

 

14. Feeding volume is too big or change small holes ring die, but not adjust feeder accordingly, which leads to the production not evenly, ring die overload and cracking.

Solution: Adjust feeder motor ‘s speed, and frequency changeable controller or magnetic controller.

 

15. Ring die press cover holes worn out and end surface is out of shape, bolts are loose, which leads to ring die screws crack.

Solution: Change the ring die press cover.
